Everyone is kind of surprised Vista was hacked/exploited in some way?

So was win 95, 98, ME, XP.. :D

Expect this with every single Windows release to come :)

Since Windows ME Microsoft is involved in the making of appealing OS intended to distract people from useful task, features, command and applications, perhaps to prevent a new Bill Gates coming up.

So if you use your PC for useless stuff such as watching videos or listening music Vista is for you.

They (MS) say new Windows will come in 2009. So I assume Vista = new Windows ME just to test the waters.

I was always one of the first to get the new OS's from M$, and if I couldn't be 'in line' I would have got my wife to go get it for me. NOT THIS TIME.

All I see for improvement is the GUI. Who needs it to be prettier? I need stability and I see no improvemnet over XP in Vista. Until I need or want a new PC, I'm sticking with XP! :D

Microsoft wants Vista of their other Softwares to be cracked. It is like giving narcotics free - so the sellers can not make profit and goes out of the market(for microsoft the alternatives can not find a way to be known and developed). It is also like link baiting - the students etc using microsoft programs at home and when they have money or work they demand microsoft program cause they know them.(The more money someone has the more fear he/she also has). The free usage does not cost anything to microsoft cause if they can not use microsoft programs free they won't buy it they will look for alternatives.

I don't like Microsoft much but I respect is their marketing , they can even sell ordinary wood to us I am sure of it.They look like they are protecting their software but they don't , they want us to be addicted to them and this helps killing their enemies ,too.
They have search engine that sucks , and they don't put much money o them and they get searches more than they reserve for that investment size.

Microsoft always made stuffs for crackheads anyway

I never liked windows from Windows 98 Second Version to Vista in 2006. 8 years of pain...

Just to know: I tried Vista 1 afternoon and gave up. But about security, does Vista do things ok? You guys had big problems with Vista so far?

I do not like vista because it needs lots of system configuration, I am using XP since 2 years and never got a single problem. I am not going to buy vista for next 2 years. ;)

Totally agree. Cracked or not - there is no way I am going near the first version. Maybe give it a couple of years.
