Microsoft has no plans to pull out of China, its chief executive Steven Ballmer has confirmed, dashing hopes that the software giant would support its rival Google in its stand against Chinese censorship of the internet.

That's a very good news for the Microsoft and its users in China. I think Google has to learn something like that Microsoft is doing.

Microsoft mainly will stay coz they are selling an operating system which i dont think is much related to censorship whereas google is providing information which is tough to censor..

Do not forget that Microsoft operates Bing as well... which would have to cope up with the same kind of censorship!

It is not about the actual impact on revenues. It is more about the policy of a company and whether it is wiling to operate under such censorship. Google has taken a hard stand and it remains to be seen if other companies unite to show solidarity against such draconian censorship!

Bing is small part of Microsoft, they're software giant while Search Engine is larger part of Google. So, there's no reason to pull out for Microsoft.
