Just wondering, they'll have like 20% search market share.

All opinions, speculation and conspiracy theories welcome. ;)

This bidding war is going crazy. The gazillions of dollars being outlaid here is madness.

So what's the end result going to be?

    GooHoo?
    Yoogle?
    Microo?
    Yahsoft?

    Who knows?

I get little fear because if Microsoft buy yahoo then they may collect some fixed rates for email and everything means it will very difficult to lot of people who are using now email service as Free,
Microsoft Always want to Earn something they are not interested to like open source products,

IS there any chance to they change free service to Pay?If they buy Yahoo?

I know google is a big company, but last time I heard the bid was 44 billion, I imaging that it may have went up, but does google even have that much? According to the book of world records, thats close to bill gates' fortune.

Google are definitely not in the frame as the US legislators would not allow that level of monopoly

    I think it is possible

"Google's dominance in search and the low barrier of entry into the market are expected to ameliorate antitrust concerns and clear the way for a Yahoo-Microsoft merger should such a deal be struck."

Some may view it the other way. IF it wasnt Microsoft. It would be Google viaing for position. So please dont be like Google would not be less interested in Yahoo than MSN. If Google did not have their hands in so many cookie jars, Google would be so on board to buy Yahoo. But if Google was to first bid for Yahoo, do you realise how many anti trust laws would be put against Google. Lets just say a lot more than Microsoft.

I don't think google will bid .. and I think Microsoft will only take a big stake of yahoo .. but it will not buy out yahoo .. but I guess we'll see in time

I think Google would sue Microsoft , or may be the stupid EU legislators would interfere between the deal claiming it to be killing competition .

If Google got it's hands on yahoo they would have 90% of the search market.

Microsoft Live is a distant third on search and microsoft ad center is way behind.

The name "Yahoo.com" is good enough.

    At least better than "Live.com"
