No they can't. Bungie are what is called a second-party developer, which means they're actually a separate company, but they're tied by a contract to only produce games for Microsoft.

Yeah, but once that contract ends or Microsoft decides to leave the gaming industry all bets are off. I don't think Microsoft grasp the gaming industry. Microsoft just wants to make a profit and so far has not done so. Even Halo can not undo years of lost profits.

lmao M$ aren't going to leave the gaming industry. If any one is gonna leave it, it'll be Bungie. M$ already have the next console in development.

Microsoft has not made any money so far in it's gaming dept. In fact it has been losing so much money that it would make sense for them to leave the gaming industry. Just the ring of death will cost Microsoft over 1 billion dollars to fix. What makes you think it will not leave the gaming industry?

I never found the Halo story to be very compelling. I'm not sure that the movie would have been that great. It's the kind of story that Michael Bay would love telling with a few thousand explosions and absolutely no substance.

Halo is a good game to play. You would have to be a dedicated player to enjoy the movie. The only reason I bought it was because my nephew wanted to really play it so I bought it. I played it a couple of time and did not see any difference from other games. If anybody is really in to Halo please let us know why you love it so much. That way we can get into it.

This is very true. It's the only time Microsoft made a profit in the gaming industry and they lost it.
