Well if anyone is interested i made a blog about it http://blogurself.com/blog/technology/yahoo-to-be-taken-over-by-microsft/
It would be better for competition if MS takes over completely and have it run under MS brand. Next, Europe will be hammering out a net service(think sometime between 2009and 2012) as well and after that, Asia, with Chinese lead.
Yahoo is a team player with ATT. Hence the ATT Yahoo DSL and SBC Yahoo DSL etc. Microsoft probabally won't buy Yahoo. It would be a big mistake.
I doubt this would go a head Yahoo is to much of a market super power Msn doesnt realy have any coverage compared to Yahoo surly yahoo would'nt throgh this away.
As far as I know .. Microsoft always wanted to have a hand on Yahoo, and especially now when MSN sucks and nobody really uses it so the only way to save it is to buy Yahoo and try to make competition to google. Microsoft definitely has the money and the interest so why not do it????? Financially its good idea and I'm almost certain that they will make it. Cheers, Venetsian. P.S. Can you imagine all Yahoo spammed with Windows Ads .. that is so sad ..
I doubt that this is going to happen. The users will hate it if Yahoo is overtaken by Microsoft and might move to Google or another website.
Do you really think that more than 10% will even notice that??? People don't care who's the owner man .. and as far as I know about 90% of the normal people love microsoft .... Cheers, Venetsian.
Microsoft is not buying Yahoo. They just want to cooperate with them. They want to form an alliance with Yahoo so they can compete against google and adsense.
I think there is still alot of confusion as to who is the top search engine and what is going on between the competitors to get back on top.
Google thus far is at the top, but Microsoft isself is a much larger company. That may be where the confusion is.
Yep thats the exact reason why MSN would like to take over Yahoo. MSN might not have a good coverage over the internet but they are a much bigger company compared to yahoo. I guess MSN is trying to take a big chunk out of the internet market.
