This is a wierd thing that happened to me twice today...

I entered a poorly formed url in my web browser and it took me to microsoft.com!?!

Once was on a computer using IE - which I just kind of laughed at. Then it just happened again in firefox.

Does it happen to you? I entered the following in my address bar:

    http%3A//www.prweb.com/releases/2006/3/prweb353267.htm

    Code (markup):
    The link was originally:

    http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss/search/weddings/SIG=11opaj9f9/*http%3A//www.prweb.com/releases/2006/3/prweb353267.htm

    Code (markup):
so I just cut off the yahoo part because the page wasn't responding very quickly.

Is this a feature provided to me by windows update? I don't recall it ever happening before. I have in the past gotten sent to an MSN page when I entered a bad address in a My Computer window, then it was earthlink after I installed some software for them. But I've never gotten it through firefox before.

Well usually firefox will import your IE settings when you set it up (well you have an option too.)

Thus if default search is msn when urls arent found. Then it will happen in both explorers.

    Hopefully this helps.
