You cannot use Opera or non-IE browser to login adcenter. You have only option to use IE7 or IE6.I have IE7 installed which is nothing more than shit in browser world. What the heck microsoft is doing .... This is worst case of forcing users to use IE shit for adCenter login.
Actually, you can't use IE7 because it is in BETA and it has incompatibilities with adCenter. Some things will work, but you will get errors because IE7 still has bugs. adCenter is still new keep in mind... and they are working to get firefox online, they said it would happen this fall so just be patient and things will work out
Control Panel ---> Add/Remove Programs ---> click the check box 'Show updates' on the top and remove ie7
You know something's wrong when Microsoft products (IE7) can't even work with adCenter. Hell, IE7 won't load on my Vista test machine, and I've only installed one program. I doubt adCenter will work with anything but IE6 anytime soon.
I keep telling myself... "Listen man, don't download the latest thing from Bill. It isn't going to work and it's going to bite you in the rear EVERY time.." And then I download the crap and end up spending part of my weekend undoing it... I think WE are the stupid ones... Thanks BTW- for the heads up. I am starting into adCenter tonight and this will save me some time. Best Eric
I think there is no big difference when you open page in IE Tab, it should be same as you open it in IE. You are in Firefox, but instead Gecko engine - you are using Trident (MS Engine). So, I think FF with IE Tab would be no better than IE. Same thing, different package.
Yah, it uses the same rendering engine. It's essentially loading IE into a tab, hence the name It just saves people the trouble of opening IE, which some consider sacreligious.
i bet by this time next week FULL firefox support will be in adcenter... infact i would put money on it
I wonder why don't Microsoft start writing a proper code and not "optimized" (read breaking standards) crap for their own stuff. If you have someone with Firefox who wants to use your site let them. You can buy windows and use firefox or opera but if you are constantly forced to do this and that, well why not just go and get a MacOS or some Linux next time. At least you won't have to bother to go most MS sites. It's plain stupid but they keep doing it.
It has made them billions of dollars, that is why. Do you think 500,000 dollar judgments against them for unfair practices mean anything to them? They laugh all the way to the bank.
