I don't like it, period! Microsoft have spend a lot of time perfecting the Office Programs since Windows 95. MS Office 2003 is the best for me. But they have changed almost everything in the new Office 2007. A co-worker of mine asked me where to get the toolbar of Mathematical Equation and it took me 30 minutes to find it. Another thing is that when I save files using Office 2007, I could not open them in lower versions of MS Office. I have to save it as "compatible with lower versions of MS Office." Why do they have to make format for MS Office that couldn't work for lower versions? Any comments? Who likes the new MS Office 2007?
Yea, I have to agree with you that it seems like they tried to make Office prettier, but in doing so they made everything harder to find and harder to use. I worked in a office where I had half using 2003 and half using 2007, and even though they should be cross compatible to some extent, they weren't AT ALL!!! It was such a pain trying to figure out how to open a 2007 document in 2003 and vice versa. Microsoft needs to stop trying to reinvent the wheel with their new versions, just fix the really annoying problems please!
That's always the case with major software updates. The user doesn't know what ot do and decides taht they don't like it. After using it for a couple of month, they get to know where everything is, and hten is better the sliced bread.
I have Office 07 and I love it. I mainly user Word of course for school papers, but it is really clean cut and easy. I love it. Powerpoint is the only other one I really use. Good stuff.
Dunno about you, everyone I know using MS Office 2007 love it. I am switching in 2 weeks time to it as well.
Well,, the new stuff is new! You can always save file as in whatever version you want to save it in and i know the new office looks different but slowly you will get used to it!
Maybe I have just been used to lower versions and had no time to learn new things. How should I setup to the classic look?
Loving 2007. I agree with a lot of you that everything is definitely harder to find... but once you get used to it, I personally think it's a great upgrade.
The new Office 2007 is simply superb. The problem is that it as shed its old coats and comes in a totally new outfit. First you have to know how to handle it. Once you understand it, then it is cruising at the hypersonic speed.
The new office is just pretty, The interface is attractive but useless. You can get used to it, but if you ain't got time, you better stick to earlier releases of Office. Seriously, I was stuck on how to save/open a file until i clicked that round office button by mistake
I have the Blue Edition on my virtual machine. Not bad, definitely feature filled, but the ribbon interface sucks.
I like some of the web 2.0 graphic styles that office has to offer but it is some what inconvenient....although I still like it a lot
I was planning on getting MS Office 2007. Which version is the best out of all of them? Or should I just go with Open Office?
