I've googled it, read some articles etc. Seems pretty nice ... has it gotten much "real life" experience? Do you use it? How's it work for you? etc.
Everyone got their own opinions... but so many "I hate Vista" thread is getting old. It's the same reason over and over again, not that I don't see some of your point... I think everyone just need to get over it. If you don't like it... stick with XP, NO ONE is telling anyone who doesn't like vista to change... Mircosoft is not forcing you to buy vista or any of their product. Vista might required more RAMs to run smoothly, if you think it's slow, why not add another GB of RAMs, find a cheap one on Ebay. I wouldn't say it would be a downgrade, it would be just something new. My vista never give me any problem or slow maybe I have 6GB of RAMs. =P takes about 10sec to turn on and about 10sec to turn off. My XP takes about couple minutes to turn on... so it's not about the "window" it's all about the RAM baby!
No older than the sycophantic "vista works for me, so your opinion doesn't matter" replies ... but I welcome your opinion, no matter how old... I kinda think old is good . I also think it's very telling that there are SO MANY I hate vista threads and they are so active. If it works for you, AWESOME, but that doesn't make the rest of us who have legitimate problems wrong for expressing our anger and frustration. That's where you're mistaken, and that's what really makes me mad at Microsoft. Microsoft IS doing everything they can, using their defacto-monopoly to stuff vista down our throats. I never had any problem with the speed ... it's the severe and deliberate lack of backwards compatibility that reduces productivity and Microsoft's insistance on removing XP from the market.
nothing new, been the same as always, vista is crap unless you have a fast computer and experience, then it will truly be....crap.
WOW, as the title of the thread says "Microsoft is starting to piss me off!" I am wondering what took you so long to get pissed! I've been pissed at them for years for various things like Windows 2000, Windows ME, Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player (embedding as default and unable to change that), trying to be everything to everyone, creating massive bloat code, creating security issues via IEx, and finally..........VISTA!
Hey hey hey, are you talking about me? Im not charming mircosoft and just saying my opinion. I have no problem with XP or Vista. BDazzler: If half of the world thinks vista is bad, do you think mircosoft would sell vista? Mircosoft has always been that way, trying to stuff every product down our throat. Doesn't mean you have to buy it, I didn't buy so many of their crap =) I was thinking about getting a MAC over Vista, maybe some of you should do. There are ways to stop mircosoft, is to stop buying their product, the new operating system.
Yes and so does the US Judicial system when they ruled that Microsoft has a de-facto monopoly and was using it to engage in anti-competitive behavior. http://money.cnn.com/1999/11/05/technology/microsoft_finding/
Sadly, there is little to no correlation between the quality of a product and the market share... one thing MS has proven is that "just good enough" is good enough to make a ton of money.
I agree with some comments - Vista can be a night mare a first but i've grown to like it - FResh feeling with cool features
I agree with some comments - Vista can be a nightmare a first but i've grown to like it - FResh feeling with cool features. Took me a while to findthe File button though!!!
Microsoft is adding more and more features to its operating systems that you basicly need to upgrade your system before even thinking of upgrading you operating system. Please Microsoft Keep Things SIMPLE!
