Wow...read somewhere on this news, it is great.

Internet Explorer 8 puts Microsoft back in the game...with Internet Explorer 8, which is bigger leap from Internet Explorer 7 than Internet Explorer 7 was from Internet Explorer 6, Microsoft is pulling out the big guns and offering features which other browsers have yet to adopt.

Starting a thread to highlight the offering of important unique features without even mentioning the same is just not done.
OP should have at least listed the features in brief, if not for the full description of the same! :(

InPrivate Browsing and InPrivate Filtering help Internet Explorer 8 claim privacy victory.

IE 8 is more powerful than the other browsers, it is still the best browser in the world.

It's a known fact that computer savvy people never use IE and always use anything else.

Never use IE? Sorry chum you already admitted that you use it in another thread (hey you said never not me) and plus it is a known fact that some sites run best in IE therefore savvy people wanting to access those sites use it.

Known facts are made of better stuff.

Shows how you twist the facts to serve your own false purposes. I NEVER use IE except for testing web sites in it and that's only cause I have to, not want to. Even then, it runs on an old box that never gets turned on otherwise. And some sites don't work in IE cause the designers are idiots like you who don't know better. Like other 'softies now paying the price for running software than only runs on IE6 and they're stuck with it to this day. Idiots like you.

It's nice to see you can't answer my challenges, too, in the other thread. Further proof you know nothing.

cough , cough. "It's a known fact that computer savvy people never [dictionary - not ever; at no time] use IE "

so you use it then to test web sites and others use it to view sites that don't work with firefox - which blows the so called "fact" out of the water.

LOL! always the flaterrer. I don't know Howard I tend to think that the guys that develop blockbuster.com (just one of the sites I showed before) probably have some serious credentials to get the job waaaay above any of us here who have so much time to post messages on DP

:D Lighten up guy. my goodness you take this MS hate so seriously

When it come to a discussion about web browsers, it's always like that. Personal preference is their priority.

@OP, what features that IE8 have that other browsers don't? Care to share the source of the news.
