As far as i can see internet users are becoming more enthusiastic with Mozilla Fire fox and other browsers compared to internet explorer. For a heavy internet users Internet explorer is a time wasting crap, due to loss of useful features. I think Microsoft has to more and more to steps to lead in the browser technology.

The majority of people who visit my sites still use IE. Firefox has gained popularity fast, though.

That's true. I used IE till version 7, but gave up and now using Mozilla exclusively. Even though they added tabs, it is still a bit crappy.

There are lots of independent plugin developers for firefox. Adsense notifier is an example...exclusive for firefox only. That's why I'm using Firefox :D

I am using Firefox because of Plug-ins. I have some complains about Firefox too. It freezes once in a while. But still I like it.

This is true with webmasters but the majority of my site's traffic and visitors are using IE

i believe it is also true that "firefox" is fast track in gaining the popularity that it has built with its reputation as the safest browser available today and this is just the start.

tabbed browsing, which is not in ie6, though more than 70% of people use ie6 who visit my sites, so i feel msn is still there at the top!:)

I actually was told in by a M$ Instructor that you can never get a virus from a webpage through Internet Explorer. 2 years later, I got Nimda virus from a webpage through IE. Mozilla would not have given me the virus as far I as I read later. It did not have the same security flaws that IE had. IE is still full of holes like swiss cheese and its only a matter of time until the hacking community exploits it once again. Yeah ok its probably past due for a bad Mozilla hack, but until they have one that allows a worm to propagate through another one of the same corporations faulty programs, I am sticking with Firefox. Plugins come second to security in my book. Mozilla has had that from the beginning and that is what makes it the fastest growing browser out there. People are starting to realize that internet security matters. Perhaps companies that seem to care about secure internet programs will take over the industry as more and more there are identity thefts, credit card number thefts and worse happening every day on the internet. Most of which are probably happening through IE rather than Firefox. Some of this maybe because of the plugins available for script blocking and more, but Mozilla's Firefox is much more secure than IE will ever be.

wait about two years, MS will file a lawsuit that makes IE download on a computer at the same time that Firefox downloads...(remember the IE/NEtscape lawsuit?)
