I might be getting an interview with Microsoft for the Software area of Microsoft. Any questions in particular I should ask? I'm bad with thinking up things like this. Thanks! Philip
The best question for them would be this: Why have they insisted that IE is part of the OS and why will they not give the latest and most secure browser to all Windows owners? Next question, why are they forcing all windows users to pay Microsoft to update to XP and SP2 to get their systems secured against common hacker attacks endangering the safety of the internet itself?
You have to pay to upgrade to XP to get the latest browser, you can not get the flawed SP2 upgrade without XP.
Just want to comment on this anthony (hope you dont mind). Are you asking MS to giveaway XP for FREE to those users who have already purchased previous version of windows? If that the case then It should be also practice by other GIANT software company.
No, that is not the point, this is, Microsoft will not give the browser as a stand alone product as they once did when IE was first introduced. They introduced it as a stand alone product to run Netscape out of business and they did that. Now they want to tie IE to the OS and force folks to upgrade to get the latest version of IE. This is why Microsoft sucks, they really do. Everyone should use Firefox, switch to MAC or Linux ASAP.
That is like moaning that bmw cars put bmw engines in their cars..and not give you the option of installing mercedes. You are looking at this from the angle of being in the top 1% of users who KNOW how to use a P.C.....the same as the guys who customise cars...99% of drivers take the standard..and go to the garage when it needs fixing. GEM <<might be getting an interview with Microsoft for the Software area of Microsoft>> How ? Did you win a ticket?
sorry anthony...i am pro microsoft... although i dont agree with everything, i have lots of examples if ya wanna chat about it.....what you and I think is irrelevent...we are not the masses.
"PRO MICROSOFT" does that mean if Mr. Gates wants to put a chip under your skin that you would take it to log on. Would you take his computer user ID if need be
let me see... I have national insurance number... passport... photo driving licence... licence plates... chip and pin card... The police can tell if i have insurance and MOT... My ISP records browsing... My shopping reward card logs my shopping habits... ...even finger prints and photo's to ENTER the USA so logging on as an individual user is not going to hurt much and once we all do it..who will care? retinal eye scans...DNA etc are all on the way..privacy is non-existent...so we might as well have a bar code on our foreheads!
Here is another question the man can ask Microsoft, when will they develop software to identify computer users and track humans. http://vivisimo.com/search?v%3Asources=Web&query=verichip&x=54&y=18 Gem will be the test dummy for the Microsoft Brain Implant....
It will become reality, unless we blow ourselves up first! I would like him to ask when microsoft are going to upgrade x-box to run the same as a pc...and have it as a 'dedicated microsoft utility'...although i guess mozilla will start to work on an x-box browser and start moaning about locked source. I want a comfortable laptop keyboard..sit in front of my T.V building websites, sending e-mail, playing games..with out 60ft of cabling running across the floor ..all for about 50 quid ($100)....just find out when, please
LOL Wonderful topic you guys got going. Gem: about your question no I didn't win a ticket but I just might be getting an interview, talked to some contacts... If I get an interview with Bill Gates, that'll blast my sites popularity
If you get an interview with Gates (very unlikely) ask him if you can live in the boat house. Tell him you will wash and wax the yacht for 100 grand a year if he lets you have a room on it.
You could thank them for creating such wonderful software that is so easily compromised, hacked, and taken over.. We have and continue to do a lot of business with our "PC TuneUp" thanx in part to MS. http://mia.net/HTML/home/tuneup.html
Hell yes, if it were not for Microsoft a lot of companies would not be in business today. SPYBOT, ADAWARE, all the AV firms, the industry has a lot to be thankful for. But computer users are another story, they are just suckers for the Russian mafia and M$ uses them to get folks to buy the next secure OS
