Actually I do think gmail is better because it auto updates when you get a new message.

Although msn hotmail was one of my first email accounts (and Im sure for many others too), I dont really digg it.
especially with more and more option and newer sites like gmail...i have started to dislike hotmail. I use it only cuz many of my pals still have tht id and ESPECIALLY FOR MSN.
no mater how hard hotmail tries, it doesnt seem to be AS user friendly as gmail. and about the spam...man,thats another turn off. gmail is wayy better.
Only if msn would give more attention to hotmail i dont think it'll be losing as many customers like now.
Although google has the 'G' factor...even with the google wave released, msn is gnna the second priority for the people around the world.

I love this feature too,:D, with hotmail you have to click on inbox for new emails to appear, and yahoo mail is no good too as far as this is concerned,.

Also yahoo mail loads WAY too slow, so what the hell is going on within yahoo?

    Hotmail sucks bigtime.

They put an advertisement signature in every mail you send.
So basicly their users just act as advertisers.

I only use @msn.com account for MSN now.
I've wanted to use gmail but it seems like there's every possible username combination already taken, even if i add some number in name.

So now i'm using GMX. It's been very popular in Germany and recently they became international. Really nice service.
Your username can be very short too, because they let you choose many different mail address extensions (gmx.in, gmx.se, gmx.ca, etc...).:)

    Check it out:

I don't think any of them are perfect or great. Hotmail seems to like to block some servers or ips, but others they don't care and you get loaded with spam. Exactly why that is I don't know. Other times I get some one day, but not the next. Like one day I get auto email saying someone is following you on twitter, the next day I can see someone new is following but I never receive the new message. Not that I do much with twitter, but I am just wondering how many other sites and auto-notifies I am missing at hotmail.

Hotmail really sucks now because they block half of the important emails.

To the person who said Google will become the new software giant, you may be correct. With the Google Chrome OS, I am pretty confident that it will boost sales of netbooks and small PCs. Looking to see what they do with it.

I have never had a problem with hotmail. In fact, I have never had any problem with an email provider before. I have used gmail, yahoo, hotmail, aol, and a bunch more.

Gmail is clearly the best, hotmail and yahoo mail has too many ads and sometimes they don't work

i agree... hotmail is always glitchy for me - i switched my main email to gmail and am so much happier with the ease of use and faster loading times.

gmail is ok, Yahoo mail is also good (I've been using it for more than 5 years and it gets better and better) but the best one in my oppinion is home.live.com - fast, secure, a lot of space, etc.
