Thats right! Everyone thought Google Earth was the best thing ever! Well Microsoft just threw a right hook at Googles Chin and now Maps.live.com Now has higher quailty photos and it has 4 different angles to view from!, which means you can view from south, west, north, east. and the photos are higher quailty!

Now if your in a small town you might not get the best quailty but if you are in a major city you can basically read speed limit signs and look at the world in REAL 3-D. not just some picture with buildings sticking up!

    Check it out.

What do you mean with "4 different angles to view from!, which means you can view from south, west, north, east." ?? They just turn the entire map? OR in 3d view?

If it's the first, google will probably add it before I can sneeze...

And I have hayfever, so they'd better be fast. ;)

first, meaning in google they usally view from the south or w/e so if a building is facing west or something and you cant see the name of the store you can view it from the east and see the front of the store. Plus this is at an angle already. google is basically straight down. with microsoft it looks like they were taking pictures from a helicopter or something.

Nice for the larger centres, but does it ever suck for the smaller places. Heck in Google Earth I can see my house and yard, this barely has my town.

yeah right now they only have like major citys and some lower cities but they update it all the time so check back and see if your city has been updated. The picture quailty is a lot better aswell.

That's funny because my situation is the exact opposite. Google doesn't have my area, nothing but a big green blob. However microsoft does.

Doesn't anyone ever get tired of these opinion type threads? I mean yeah, some people use Live Maps, some use Yahoo! Maps, some use MapQuest, and some use Google Maps.

But Guess what? None of them are better than the other. For me, I only use Yahoo! Maps but maybe you like Live. Whatever. It's all opinion!

    Just my 2 cents
