This is a good news even it is not completely free anyway. You have to registered and wait for a chance to win and grab Windows 7. Not give away without condition.

 

I guess that's the only way they can get people to use it.

 

It has became more famous than vista.

 

I wish they would just release one good OS with 1 version, with ability to turn features on and off.

To bad I'm not a US or Canada residents.

Windows 7 is great since it's much lightweight than Vista. Even the action notifier is annoying each time we are copying, moving or modifying file but Hey... The interface is so cool and make XP looks lame. But I'm an oldies. I still love my XP, and don't want to spend my time for learning new OS until it is stabilized enough around 2 or 3 years ahead. CMIIW.

 

I think Microsoft took step in process to diverge New Windows 7 Users! which are still attached with Windows XP!

 

IMO, I still like XP but def W7 is on the way to becoming a much better platform.

 

A couple of service packs later, Windows 7 will be the best OS.

 

I have tried it and it is much better than vista.

 

way, way, way much better than Vista...

 

kind of a shame they can't just put out a product that doesn't require 5 service packs to work right

 

hehe the service packs will always be there but hey at least they made the service packs to fix the problems .

 

why not pre-test your software and do proper coding so we don't need service packs for simple shit like connecting to wireless bc wireless software is twitchy as hell (just example)

They aren't visiting anywhere near me in BC

 

Only the frist 50 people get it so it's not really a give away, more a stunt to get more people to go.

 

That's a good news. If we restore the win 7, do we need to register again?

 

I wish they'd run offers like that in the UK! I'd love to be able to run Windows 7 on more than one PC, but can't afford the licenses to do that.
