Microsoft Flight Sim X

    Microsoft has an awesome update coming for the flight simulator series called "Flight Sim X".

    They just released a demo to try out. Get it here (DEMO)

    The demo is a work in progress and there are some bugs, but that's to be expected. Be sure and change the default settings before you start (especially your resolution).

    Try out the landing demo and you'll be impressed with the mission script and ATC /Cockpit voices. It's just like the real thing.

    Anyone else into MS flight sim?

    i played this before, its ok, what do ppl like about it so much? because they like flying in real life?

    i prefer shoot em up gmaes

    I like flight sims because I love to fly. I'm a pilot as well and actually use MS Flight Sim to practice various flights and keep a level of currency with certain tasks.

    I agree that flying a plane isn't as action packed as a shooter. I think you can get some satisfaction from learning to takeoff, navigate, and land at your intended point.

    This new version also adds a lot to the eye candy factor.
