Not true at all. Microsoft did this to help thwart litigation against it by the US Justice Department and the European Union which are investigating complaints against it over this. This was first reported by two bloggers a week ago who made this accidental discovery. For the two posters above, who said this is old news and you could do it as far back as XP: Balderdash!
@Sensi.Design & tarakesh.rao The features that I am explaining about are not default in Windows Vista or XP. You can't completely remove or switch of Internet Explorer or Windows Media Player as standard. Please get your facts straight before you make comments contradictory to what others have said.
The one thing you can always count on with Microsoft, as they allow you to remove some stuff, they will add other garbage that you can't remove. I am sure that you will see all kinds of crap new in the final version.
I don't doubt it lol, I tend to rip the OS to pieces when I get it. Like Vista for example, my whole vista Install Disc is under 700Mb; works much better once you filter out the crap.
