Microsoft, Facebook and Google?

First let me say that Facebook's advertising program is pretty great, although it seems to be a major pain to get exact specifics out of the program.

I was twiddling around in Facebook when I saw an event for a friends party. The event had a link that said "Get a map to this event" immediately i thought to myself that since MS dumped millions into the MySpace killing machine I would be taken to some MSN Map site which i have never/rarely used.

When I clicked the link to my complete and utter shock I was taken to Google.. WTF i thought! Here MS is trying so hard to put up a fight against Google that they have even thought of the idea of buying Yahoo! (the internets most used site according to Alexa) and the one thing in recent memory that most people thought was a good move for MS seems to care nothing for them and instead uses their competitors.

Its like... Bill is peeing into the wind.

    - Cant buy Yahoo!
    - HD DVD is dead (although i like it better than gay ray)
    - Vista isn't selling worth a dang
    - A site you invested tons of $$ into only wants to help your competitor

    ouch.

It's a speculative investement though i would think. I mean i can't see why it wouldn't use local.live.com but then, i don't think microsoft have much say in the specifics of facebook design.

From my point of view, neither of ads by Facebook or Microsoft can compete with those by Google. It sometimes seems that the latter has already coquered the whole Internet world) well, just my opinion)

Facebook will be the first choice if you want to get benefit on such a low cost or also freely, because there were a lot of features which you can use and avail its benefits.

Leave it to DP posters to carry on a nearly 4-year old thread like it was yesterday.

Google is the leader when it comes to ads, but Facebook is stepping its game up, too.
