ok when i pay or hire people on DP to submit my site to directories or do social bookmarking, they send me an EXCEL report or what ever in my email.. but when i go to open it, it says you have to select a program from the list on your cpu but i dont have it... it takes me to the microsoft website to buy it.. how can i get excel so i can view these reports in my email?? i dont want a program taking up a ton of room or anything though.
You need to have Microsoft Excel to open an Excel report and it's not free. But if you're looking for free alternative, you can use Excel viewer : http://www.microsoft.com/downloadS/...F9-CE06-4E1C-8DCF-F33F669DBC3A&displaylang=en or download Open Office : http://download.openoffice.org/index.html and use a program call Calc to open that Excel file. - Dynashox -
Tell them to also submit a duplicate copy using pure text format. At least you have one more option to open it. You may also use the free Open Office Suite to open an MS excel file.
