Hey there, I used to love Microsoft until I got a Mac, because of the viruses I got was hideous and the operating system lagged compared to Mac OSX. Anyway my sister uses a Dell and runs Vista on it. Today I was talking to a friend on Skype and discovered that Microsoft have their Windows 7. Well 1st I'd like to say it looks absolutely pish, if they think this is going to make people get of their seats and go buy it, they must be crazy. The title of this system should be called "Microsoft 7 The Re-attempt at Windows Vista". http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7695933.stm Look forward to your replies.
Firstly I agree with all the comments you made, I would say that the name is awful as well but it strikes me that Apple will soon run out of cat names. Secondly people should say pish more often.
When XP came out, it also had a lot of problems but the service packs made it a lot better. I think Vista will also be fine after sometime.
That's exactly what I'm planning. At first I thought that maybe I don't need to switch to vista anyway. But now, companies are already making software and games that are vista compatible, so i realized that pretty soon they won't make it xp compatible anymore.
I'll keep XP until Windows 7 gets good reviews. I love in the video how he said they took the touch screen idea from a rival company named after fruit
Question to all you people who hate Vista - have you actually tried it for more than 24 hours, or do you just hate it, because someone else does? Thats what half the Vista bashers are.
I like XP, and I'll like whatever I get on my desktop. As long as I can play games, I'll be happy. PS: The Fruit will soon die, they always lose their fruit every fall / winter.
i agree with those that are sticking to XP, i'm too lazy to install a new OS anyway. I will wait for W7, I heard they came out with a new free OS recently...nahhh not gonna try after I tried out IE8 beta
Windows 7 looks like vista right now in the little videos because Microsoft hasn't worked on the "look" yet. but that's not how it's going to look when it's finished. I'm quite sure it will look very different. I'm on XP right now and will keep it this way until the next time I buy a new computer, which will hopefully be by the time Windows 7 comes out and is already installed on the computers.
The thing that has always bothered me about nobody liking Vista is that none of the alternatives have stepped up and created a product that appeals to the masses as a replacement...seems like a perfect opportunity for one of them... BH
