    Hi,

If I buy a Microsoft Directory listing about how much traffic can I expect from it? And how much page rank will leak into my site?

    thanks

    can not tell.

But you should try google adwords or yahoo directory instead.

Never heard of the Microsoft Directory. However, I don't think you'll see to much benefit from it. Try and get in to some free high PR directories, and build some quality backlinks from relevant sites.

    1. Microsoft had a quality paid directory, called "small business directory" . It has been discontinuted about 3 years ago, at the end of a long life.

    2. Microsoft has still now an "IT specialists" directory. This is not actually a web site directory. It consists of Microsoft products vendors and advisors only. I guess, listing there may bring you some relevant traffic.

    3. Probaly, you make things confused between Microsoft and Yahoo. The latter has a paid directory . It is the oldest general web directory (older than DMOZ directory). However, listing benefits in term of traffic and PR seem rather weak (too weak since the listing price is 299 dollars/a year for a commercial site) See Yahoo section of this forum

is the search engine, not a directory.

Submitting your site to the search engine does not improve your PR nor ranking.
