By number of visitors: Google = 140 million visitors / month Yahoo = 140 million MSN = 88 million AOL = 56 million Ask = 30 million But by search popularity: Google = 55% Yahoo = 23% MSN = 10% AOL = 5% Ask = 4% If MSN buys Yahoo: MSN = 228 million & 33% If MSN buys Yahoo & AOL: MSN = 284 million & 38% If MSN buys Yahoo, AOL & Ask: MSN = 314 million & 42% Still not enough... And you can never say "I MSN'ed the phrase..."
it really doesn't matter that way anyway. If Microsoft bought every other search engine, its not like it would redirect everyone to MSN search page, it would buy teh companies and run them under their branded names. By the way, when 1 company is at 51% you don't have to do any other math, that is the point where you have majority everyone else will ALWAYS equal lower than you combined
The only possible way for MSN to beat or atleast catch up with big G is by being innovative and thinking and implementing new ideas... Inorganic growth only helps to a certain extent... Regards, RightMan
yeah. Google always comes with something new like their new product, Google Gears which has been awarded Innovation of the Year... It would be hard for MSN to beat Google
So true rofl. I googled it ..... nice I yahoo'd it ..... strange I asked it.... neat but they still wont know what your talking about I MSN'ed it? ....
Maybe MS can retain the Yahoo brand so if they do merge MSN + Yahoo together, it can be known as Yahoo and we can all say "I yahooed [phrase]"
Google has always dominated the interent, and I suspect they always will. The only way google will fail to continue to dominate is if they do something which disgraces the entire internet (only thing that would force me to stop using google is if they publicly released sensitive private information or something..? lol) Google deserves it's name anyway, I dont care too much about the other SE's.. Only time I care is when they bring me visitors!!
they have not always dominated the interent but it has been a long time, and if somebody gets bought out, then that only means that somebody else will rise to take that spot, as our society thrives on competition ...
Arnt Super Computers built off of smaller computers running together lol, (Thats what i thought) overall, 1 million computers = 1 super computer (if they are all working together) lol
