Microchip in football games

I was reading this article at BBC about the new microchip they intend to use at the World Cup next year.

Do you think it's possible that such a system could be tampered with from the crowd to confuse the electronics into thinking a goal has been scored when it hasn't?

I am wondering if the chip can withstand 90 mins or more of volleys and knocks......

Couldn't they just stick some cameras around the goal mouth?
Then refer to a *shock - no way* 4th official off the pitch.

 

I think there's too many security issues from letting a 4th official decide.

What can we say technology is growing day by day may be it is possible.

 

technology is all around no wonder if they use micro chip in football.

 

Think they should. The clothing, type of ball and boots are evolving, why not evolve the sport also!
