I am thinking of creating like 5~10 small websites to use them for links to my major websites. What types of content should I go with? Blog? Forum? Directory? Social?
Cool, first of all I'd suggest checking out SEO Hosting so you can have those websites spread across different IP's And ... if you're just making mini sites you could even just sign up for free webhosting, there are a bunch of free web hosts which allow CPanel/FTP access, just upload Wordpress and you're away laughing.. singing and dancing too
that's a great strategy to have them on different IP's like above posted. Just be sure not to link them together too much. It will work fine for Yahoo and Bing, but not Google
I thought about this too. It is a little more difficult than you think because you need to have a decent PageRank on all the micro-sites, have good content, different IPs, etc....
Thank you, everyone. Yes they are on different C Class IPs and I am thinking of diversifying them so that they don't look the same. Do you recommend autoblogs?
The hard part is that you will need to find backlinks for the micro sites. That can be a lot of work.
Do not recommend to make micro websites for link farming. You can be band by Google for that. Do not take a risk.
