Okay so I'm focusing a large number of micro-niche websites and I need some technical suggestions on that. First of all, I use the Google adwords keyword tool to test everything regarding competition or global searches or here I go. Lets say my main keyword in focus is "SoupRecipes" and I own a related domain to this keyword so now as this keyword is pretty much competitive, I'll search about some related and less competitive stuff hence I need to know the following. What should be Global Monthly Searches for better traffic/ earnings ( >= 1000? ) Some keywords appear as low competition but on searching them at Google, I see websites having < 100,000 Alexa rank and a PR > 4. Why is that and can we still go to rank ourselves in between ? According to the main keyword domain, lets say a less competitive keyword is "chicken soup recipes" so my URL for a page would be souprecipes.com/chicken-soup-recipes so about the Title of this page, should it be Chicken Soup Recipes or Chicken Soup Recipes | Soup Recipes as per the Wordpress style. Of course an actual keyword domain would be better but for something around, web-pages would do the job for a bit more less competitive related keywords. So how do you people see that?
with the micro sites, the lowest monthly traffic only matters relative to what effort you expend on getting the site to the top of the ranking. if 1,000 a month is easy to get in the top three ranks, and people click on your site and you convert them, then it is probably ok. I dont think raw monthly volumes are the be end all of analysis. regarding the title, exact matches to the exact keyword searches is important as is Left to right importance of each word. repeating the word in the title is good, however why not try a variation, even going singular recipe on the second word, just to mix it up.
