Hi all, Some of the first few words on the lips of every SEO / SEM professional include Facebook, Google and Twitter. Google is talked about by each and every person today, and Facebook has literally become the God of social networking with more than 700+ million active and growing users. Twitter is also the most popular micro blogging portal, with close to 75 million users. Together, Facebook and Twitter bring about a combination, which is demanded by every individual, professional or corporate looking to score in Google result pages and get a lot of word of mouth publicity, through social networks. Twitter is touted to be taken over by Google or by Facebook. Well, both of them are in low-level talks anyways, and the price in discussion ranges from $8billion to $10 billion. Who do you think would be the right people to take over twitter and why? It will be pleasure to get some positive feedback from all of you here!!
Hi Jusin Actually i am not in a favour to sell twitter. There are 2 reasons behind this : 1. Twitter is doing good and they have their own brand positioning. If we talk in terms of money than all twitter wants is time as you can see that twitter has also started some cash, its just they are falling short of it. Twitter has just started there advertising section and it is giving overwhelming response. 2. The concept of twitter is entirely different from that of google and facebook. I would suggest if twitter has to sell themself than it should be taken over by any other company but not these 2 giants because if google overtake twitter than google will be using twitter as a tool to kill facebook and if facebook take over twitter than it will be a complete win win situation for facebook and they will becomae MONOPOLIST in social networking arena which is not good for the growth of market. So my vote will be neither google nor Facebook. Cheers Sumit
