Michael Chertoff next Attorney General

    Initially, senior administration officials floated the name of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff as a likely successor to Gonzales, however, a source close to Chertoff said, "this would be a surprise to Mike."

    Unbelievable they are even considering going to put this inept,bumbling, freak in as the next Attorney General

    I don't think it will happen... Why would they replace a punching bag, with another punching bag?

    I'm going to guess that they nominate a centrist (slightly right) congressman... Someone that will be able to slide through the nomination process, so that the administration can get back to trying to accomplish something before they run out of time...

    Just opinions though, looking forward to seeing who gets called up...
