Miami Fund - Another Clickbank Journal

Hello everyone. Some of you may be thinking "Ugh, another Clickbank journal?", but I know that I am very interested in everyone's Clickbank journey posted here. Plus, I think that posting in this journal every day will keep me focused on my ultimate goal - never to get a real job in my lifetime (or at least any job that forces me to enslave myself to a large corporation).

However, my short term goal is to save up some money to go into my friends and I's Miami Fund. Hopefully, we will be able to accrue enough money to go stay in a nice hotel in Miami Beach for a week.

My long term goal is to be able to move into a large house somewhere in Miami Beach. But, that isn't going to happen unless I start getting to work.

I have made money with Clickbank in the past. For about 2 weeks during last summer, I was making about $40 a day (averaged). But, I dropped out of affiliate marketing for some time because school started up again, and I just didn't have the time to continue it.

But I'm moving back into affiliate marketing, with a small army of writers behind me. My friends are hired under performance based contracts, meaning they get 60% of whatever profits their articles make. I get 100% of mine (good deal). I have a pretty strong knowledge of SEO, Affiliate Marteting, and business in general, so I know where I'm going with this.

I'm going to try to post once a day, updating you guys with everything I did on that day.

I am promoting a few forex products at the moment, as well as a couple "problem" products (like "rid acne" and the like). I have two blogs up and running, one's niche is Forex Product Reviews, and the other is in my sig (for general articles). Those two sites have been around for about 5-6 months now if I remember correctly, so they're already indexed and everything. However, I would be open to starting up a new site (so I can have a fresh slate to work off). I have a few articles posted at ezine, some lenses on squidoo, and some blogger/wordpress blogs running.

I started this back up about three days ago, and since then I have gotten a few hops here and there but no sales. But I'm not worried, because last time I did this, there was two weeks of stagnancy, then the sales started to pick up.

I'm going for $50 a day to start this thing off. That shouldn't be too hard. Hopefully, I can start seeing that in at most a month.

I'll post my total profit, and my profit per day at the end of each entry so you can see how much I've made. I'll also answer any questions you may have about what I'm doing.

    Total Profit: $0.00
    (And so it begins...)

OK, so today is over with, and it was mostly uneventful. Didn't really get much done.

I did sign up for USFreeAds and purchased a gold membership, which cost me $10 for the year. I may be upgrading to premium depending on how well this experiment treats me. I have already seen a couple of hops from ads I set up only a few hours ago.

Other than that, I did not do much else. Hopefully, tomorrow will be more exciting.

    Total Profit: -$10.00
    (Hopefully the investment works out...)

Looking forward to reading. Hopefully this one can stay alive, and, as you are yourself, a lot of other members are usually interested in reading journals. Good luck :D

Thanks for the kind words, Enmar. I'm going to strive to keep this one as alive as possible, and answer everyone's questions. Unless, of course, I hit the jackpot :D.

Its a good thing that you have a very specific goal in mind for what you are going to use the money for. I think the clearer you can be about your goals, and also why you want to achieve them, the more success you are going to have. This is also what a lot of the success gurus say too, so your on the right track. Just remember consistency is key, and if it doesn't go well for a while, just keep at it and try testing within different niches, products, etc.

    All the best with it.

Dude I think it's great to see another journal and look forward to your updates. Sounds like you have already mastered outsourcing...although will your friends not want 100% when they figure out how Clickbank works and they don't need to go through you?

As you've discovered, long term money comes through search engine traffic (if you're not using PPC) so just a case of going crazy and adding lots of content and the momentum should build.

@NickE83 - Thanks for the support. I think by having a dream of what I exactly want will provide the motivation to work harder and obtain my goal.

@rolf - I don't think my friends would understand how to do half the stuff I do to promote the articles and make the sales. I think once I start showing them some money for the articles they have written, they'll care less about how I made the money and more about writing more articles to make more money. I'm a great friend, aren't I? I may dabble in PPC (just to see how it works out), but I'm definitely taking the SEO/Content approach to achieve a steady income.

Thank you everyone. There will be another update tonight after the Superbowl! I'm thinking the Steelers come away with the win in the end.

Well, it looks like I was right about the Superbowl. Did I mention that I hate the Steelers?

Today was a nice day for me, because I got my first sale. Let's just say it was a certain "green" product. I posted a couple of times on my Forex blog, but am still waiting for my product reviews blog to get fully indexed. The pages are showing up as indexed in Google, but they're not showing up on the results page.

I'm liking USFreeads, as it is a great way to quickly get long tailed keywords for your niche indexed. Plus, you can build backlinks this way.

I'm still waiting on my squidoo lenses to get indexed, and I have two pending articles at Ezine.

Overall, I'm happy with the day. I think that one sale is a sign of good things to come. Got a few hops for a bunch of different products as well, so there are people visiting my links.

Total Profit: $23.17 (...And I think it did.)

Today was not as nice to me as yesterday was. Unfortunately, I had more hops than yesterday, but made no sales (at least not yet). Basically, I am just waiting for my sites to be indexed, then I will be able to act and start increasing my article output.

    Keep up the great work.

I've got a beachhouse in Dana Point, Cali, taunting me until I make enough to buy it as well :p

Haha, that's another place I would love to visit. There are just so many cool places in California that I couldn't see myself not going there sometime in my life.

It is nearing the end of tonight, and once again, I have made no sales for today. Less hops than yesterday, actually. Basically, I've diagnosed my problem as not having enough time to work on anything online. Today, I probably only spent an hour or two doing actual work.

But, I have found success with the windows speech recognition software. I noticed other people talking about it on this forum, so I checked it out, and it actually does make article writing go a lot faster and it doesn't even feel like work, so I'm happy about that.

The product reviews site in my sig isn't panning out as I had planned, mainly because I have built up almost zero links for it as of it, but I don't really care about that site at the moment. Right now, I'm focusing my attention on the 'make money from home' niche, since I can write a lot of stuff about that. But eventually, I may move on to something different. I may actually go back to Earth4Energy, since that was one product I had a lot of success with, but it may be difficult now with so much competition.

I think it's down to just finding a product or products that are interesting to me and sell well. I have dabbled in Forex, and will continue to, but the refund rates and the boringness (at least to me) of it kind of turns me away.

    Total Profit: $23.17
