Would something like this: http://search.ie7pro.com/ be considered an MFA?
IMHO there is 0 value-add. This web page just displays google web search results along with contextual ads.

Google Search is there to supplement existing content on a website, typically when a web user can't find what he/she is looking for on the actual site itself. This website provides nothing but the search alone; with zero content, they will never get ranked and it will be impossible to find the site, unless they use some dodgy black hat technique, which will eventually be tracked by Google anyway. Web users could possibly be tricked with the "custom search" feature, which is only actually tagged as "custom", cos it's tailored to a specific brand/website.

    Made me chuckle, cheers.:)

Definitely it's a MFA to me. Nothing on the page except the search bar.

Not too serious MFA, due to just a search bar

They don't get any organic traffic. What they do is provide an app (rather useful one to be honest) that by default replaces the default search provider. So traffic is not black hat

I'm just curious if you can get banned for pages like this if the source of traffic is legit?

I would agree. I see no value added there, though i dont think its against TOS. I would be interested in where they get any traffic from.

Yes, but you have to know mfa isnt strictly prohibited. My friend works in google (they still need workers) and he said, google sees a lot of MFA sites and they dont disabling account. Officially it's prohibited, but... you know...sometimes yes, sometimes no... business is business.
