Now, I apologize for the rant, and though I never really liked MFA sites, while they were tolerated, I dislike them much more now. I was reading a thread that asked for a review of the site. Many suggested that he should change the way it looks like it was Made for Adsense. Though I don't know if he used an MFA template, or just placed the ads well, it angered me. I take it now, I can't place my Ads in comfortable positions at the risk of it being stamped as an MFA and getting banned? That's a total outrage. The point of effective ad placement for a publisher is to place the Ads in the most visible/likely to be noticed/clicked spot. That doesn't make the site MFA. That makes the webmaster intelligent. Why should I live in constant fear of being banned because of talented Ad placement?
MFA are usually well-placed. They're rarely just huge ad blocks slapped on the front of the page. What do you mean?
Not true. 6 out of 10 MFA's I see showing up on my sites have IN YOUR FACE ads, obtrusive and you basically HAVE to click the ads to leave the site. (rarely any good nav's are seen on MFA's ) Also MFA's are usually but not always, regurgitated crap PLR articles... That's the easiest way to spot them. Just because you have great placement, does not mean you have a MFA website. BUT if you do have a ton of ads above the fold, poor nav menu's, regurgitated crap PLR or even worse a whole site with RSS feeds, etc, etc - I would consider that MFA. Hell - I'm even to the point of blocking sites/ads showing on my site that show more then 4 ads on a single page (since googles new 3 ad unit and 3 link unit - it's just gone over the top with the MFA's cramming in MORE ads.)
I suppose it depends on the person doing the judging. I myself dont judge by ad placement and overall layout. I consider a site to be MFA using the content as a judgement tool. "Regurgitated crap PLR articles" as FanAddict referred to them as is, IMHO, the basis of MFA sites.
Nothing is wrong with putting your ads in the most visible spot, and does not make your site a MFA. A MFA is a site with little or no content, but have ads plastered all over the page. If your site have good quality unique content, then it is not a MFA.
