    Wow; I'm surprised to see so many people choosing Metallica over U2. U2 is old school guys. They kick ass. They are the best. In fact, I would even go to the extent of saying "the best rock band alive". Bono rocks.

    I think it's a demographic thing...most Dp'ers were still in diapers (or not yet born) when U2 was REALLY in their heyday :rolleyes:

    gross overstatement perhaps but I think U2 was more popular in the 80's whereas Metallica was more 90's and 00's

    these are probably my two most hated bands. The first 3 Metallica albums were great but everything since then has ruined them for me.
