Keywords are still important, but i feel that they only play a smaller part with today. What do you think?

Hi rllunzmann, if your referring to Meta Keywords then the message that ive received from various reading is that it does no harm to place a few on a page but that they carry very very little weight.

No i believe meta keywords are still important. If your page appears in the serps the meta gives a description on what your page is about. I used it and google treated me well :)

Major search engines place less weight on meta keyword tag now. For google, it will search you meta description tag, title tag, domain, and page content for the keywords searchers submitted, and if found some, the page will show in SERPs, but will not search in meta keyword tag.

Meta keywords are still important. But nearly as much as they used to.

Specially with Google. Google doesn't put even close weight as much as it used to on Meta Keywords..

The Meta tag i think it is most ignored (wrongly) is the Meta Description. even though search results are not based on it, but the search results include your description in the results which can persuade a visitor to your site rather than another site.
