    I am not sure if this is any help, but I use the following tags that have got 2 of my sites to 1st in Google for various search terms.

    <meta name="description"
    content="Use your website name as the first words of the description and keep it to around 80 characters">
    <meta name="keywords"
    content="Around 25 keywords accurate to your website">
    <title>Start the title with your website name then use a hyphen (-) followed by a very small description of your site<title>
    <meta name="CLASSIFACTION" content="Category of your website">
    <meta name="RATING" content="GENERAL">
    <meta name="DISTRIBUTION" content="GLOBAL">
    <meta name="REVISIT" content="7 DAYS">
    <meta name="ROBOTS" content="all or index depending on how many pages of your website you want to submit">
    <meta name="AUTHOR" content="Your website name">

    I might be wrong here, but these tags have worked a treat for me. Enjoy.

    Meta title is the most important on page seo. Meta keywords has slight importance in yahoo only. Meta description doesnt play much role in ur serps but is a good indication to your users about what your site is offering.

    The above meta tags are useless and have zero effect on search engine rankings, all they do is increase your page load time. No major search engines probably even read these meta tags anymore.

    You may want to remove some tags to reduce your file size. They have no effects on ranking.

    Do you have any more info on the:

    <meta name="CLASSIFACTION" content="Category of your website">

    or maybe even a more real world example? Where might you find a list of catagories or classifications.

    I use basic classifieds categories. For example, a website selling novelty money software would be under "Computer Software". Not 100% if this is correct, but worked for me!
