meta tags, XML sitemaps ,optimize a website...

    I would like to know .....what meta tags matter in today's world ? and unique steps we would take to optimize a website ?
    and what is XML sitemaps ?

    Use h1, h2 and h3 tags on your your blogs it will useful for seo.

    meta tags are just for our reference. whatever the keywords we keep in that tag. google doesn't consider meta tags but other search engine takes it. xml sitemap is in which you have list of site links in it.

    Meta tags are no longer beneficial for search engine rankings. XML sitemaps are used to tell the search engines about the pages the site has. It is necessary for you to have a site for proper crawling and indexing, though no guarantee on good rankings.

    Hey friend,
    If you are doing wordpress blogging.
    No need frustrated on how to do h1, h2, h3....meta script.

    I suggest you:
    Go to use a plugin called SEO pressor, it can assist you in this.
    Or use Woothemes (paid theme) and it has free plugin similar like SEO pressor.

    XML-sitemap just go and download from a plugin place.

    Meta Tags are always considered and its very useful. XML sitemaps serve a very niche purpose in search engine optimization: facilitating indexation. Posting an XML sitemap is kind of like rolling out the red carpet for search engines and giving them a roadmap of the preferred routes through the site.

    Meta Tag and XML Sitemap are basically for google crawler or spiders. It defines which keyword you want to target and which page you want to crawl......
