    Hi everyone,

Recently I have been noticing that my meta tags are not doing so well anymore and google looks more for the link popularity. Anyone feel the same? I know people have been saying this for ages now, but it just started to happen to me.

    Regards,

    -Charles

You are absolutely correct. Google no longer looks at the meta keywords attribute. It considers quality backlinks as the main scoring method for websites. This doesn't mean you shouldn't use them though. There are other search engines besides google and if used correctly will help a little with on page seo.

I agree. Most search engines are mainly focusing on backlinks these days. Quality backlinks can trump any other ranking factor.

I believe that quality is probably the keyword in all of this and it very well seems like google is really focusing on quality backlinks more than anything else these days.
