Meta Tags Plays Good Role in Ranking Keywords! What do Say!

Hi friends,

According to my knowledge of Seo still the meta tags and title tags plays 30-40% role in keyword ranking factors.

Here's the strategy:

Use your Top main keywords in your Your title tag.

Now use 5-10 secondary keywords in the keyword meta tag.

And finally prepare a description tag including your main keywords but write it effectively.

Content is always be King but for single page sites and membership sites it's not possible to prepare lengthy matter, in such situation try to use your main keywords by simply using in header tags.

This process we called On-page optimization but still works very well in ranking of keywords.

What do you say about this strategy and need more approaches..

However, according to Matt Cutts , Google doesn't use Keywords Meta Tag in search ranking

 

I saw the interview with matt cutts, Google don't use it, but the other search engines do, meta keywords have never been much value anyway - they have always been classified as too spammy.

 

Not too sure about other search engine. Where do you get this information that "other search engine" is using meta keyword? or it is based on your experience? I dont know much about other search engine than google.

 

Yahoo! has been known to use the keywords META tag from time to time.

 

I dont care WHO said it, I go by what I've tested....

I've not been using meta tags for years and I have absolutely no complaints. There are times when I would put them in just to be safe, but I have never seen my meta keywords or description being used for any type of rankings.

 

It takes about a minute to add a keywords meta tag to a new page. I always do it, "just in case..."

 

Some of the lesser search engines use it so it's obviously worth using, but it won't help (or hurt) you in Google.

Does bing use meta tags?

 

I will agree with you but title tag is going to play a crucial role in google and also other search engines..

Yes adding the keywords and description takes less time but brings good amount of traffic.

Me to don't about bing and compared to google it's easy to get index in other search engines if we use the title tags and meta tags properly but this is only one side of the coin and other side we have to do our off page optimization also.

At present google prefers the site with good backlinks from particular keyword as a anchor text.

 

Google stopped indexing the meta tags and meta tags will not increase your serps anymore so my best suggestion for u is that ...... u should use ur meta tags in ur description ....becuse Google didnot stopped indexing Description
