Serious supplemental results problem here, approximately 601,000 pages. I've seen all kinds of suggestions, from making sure all meta tags were unique (kind of hard to do with that many pages), to Matt Cutts saying things like Supplementals means you need more backlinks (the site seems to have plenty of backlinks), and I even went through The Ultimate Guide to Supplemental Listings, but I still can't seem to figure it out. I mean, is G saying the site just isn't important enough? If someone could take a look and offer some suggestions, that would be great, thanks! Site with serious supplemental problem. I appreciate it. -Michael PS Oh yeah, it's a similar issue with this site, but on a much smaller scale, thanks!
You should probably read the post about this on the site that you used as an example. http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/infrastructure-status-january-2007/ Hope that helps.
that's a very large site so don't worry about getting all of them out. just pick your most important pages and work on those. Its gonna be hard to get that many pages out of supplemental.
Ah, so... So, it's that the links pointing to the site itself are no longer counting as much? Could it just be the type of people linking to it are, well, unsavory? Of questionable character maybe? -Michael
