    Hi DP members,

I have one query regarding seo. Can we use meta title, meta description and meta keywords for directory or social bookmarking submission? Thanks for your review..please give me valuable suggestion.

    Thanks

Some directories will allow it, and others will not. Your best bet is to utilize your dominant keywords in the title of your blog, and in the description as well. If you are submitting to multiple directorties, make them vary as well so you can place some emphasis on your internal content.

He's right - I do that w/ such Social BM sites such as Digg. Works very well (plus Digg indexes very quickly).

<title> is not a meta element. If it doesn't start w/ "<meta " then it's not a meta element. A lot of them like digg select the title and meta description as the default link text and snippet.

There is no such thing called 'meta title'. Its the page title. Its always best to rotate meta descriptions when submitting to social bookmarking sites.

yes why not but don't use more keywords in submission and make professional submission so any directory or social bookmarking owner can approve your link

In some directories, the fields such as meta keywords and meta description are mandatory. Through meta description, It is good to submit description of the site in a different way. Both the meta keywords tag and the meta description tag contribute to your search engine ranking, and the meta description tag influences the liklihood that a person will actually click on the search engine results page and visit your site.
