    This is Kristy Berends...just started up a blogger website for my photography business, and in trying all sorts of seo techniques I think I messed up my 'head' html in my site. Can anyone help?

    Below is what the first part of my template 'head' looks like, but I cant get the meta content to show up on a google search result. So if you search for kristy berends photography and look at the result for www.kristyberendsphotography.com, you get the first sentence of a blog post, not my meta content tag. I am totally lost! Any recommendations on how to fix?

    <head><b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == data:blog.homepageUrl'>
    <meta content='Kristy Berends Photography - Grand Rapids Michigan Based Wedding and Portrait Photographer' name='description'/>
    </b:if>
    <META content='35ea50b4185fd5b0' name='y_key'/>

    You probably just need to wait until Google caches it again. Google won't use your meta description unless its relevant, but yours seems relevant. I also think you should use double quotes instead of single quotes but I'm not sure if it matters.

    Are you sure it is not how you put it on the page, I looked around on the web and any page that has it written how you do displays the content from the top of the last post. You may want to change it to <meta name="description" content="Kristy Berends Photography - Grand Rapids Michigan Based Wedding and Portrait Photographer">

    Thanks Jon. I like the mustache too! I will try that and give it a week or so and see if it changes. Otherwise maybe I can find some sample html for blogspot head info and keep trying to fix.
