You know this code: Does this help? If it does. Would it be a good idea to have some different keywords on different pages of your website. Providing your website is large and as loads of sub-keywords to the main one? Also how many per page? Thanks, BlueEew.
i think if your starting out you should concentrate on a few keywords and add more as you rank higher for each one (correct me if im wrong)
They keywords meta tag will do nothing for you in the 3 major search engines. They will, however, give your competitors a heads up on what keywords you're targeting.
keyword Discovery, which is excellent, but I believe it only uses Overture data for country searches.
Pretty much. If only it was as easy as just putting your keywords in a tag. You can see the potential for manipulation though.
The present strength of the keywords meta tag is nothing at all when you relate it to the top 3 search engines. However this does not mean you should not fill it in, for the time it takes i would suggest filling the keyword tag in, do a little keyword research on wordtracker or keyword discovery then add 5-7 keywords. I do not suggest adding more than 5-7 as each keyword needs a strength of about 16% or more to be highlighted as an important keyword. You can find more information on meta tags here
<meta name="Keywords" content="keyword one, keyword two" /> <meta name="Description" content="Some description about your site" /> <meta name="rating" content="general" /> <meta name="expires" content="never" /> <meta name="language" content="en" /> <meta name="revisit-after" content="10 Days" /> <meta name="distribution" content="global" />
This should be added to every web-page? Also what parts needs to be edited I have never used these before. I know keywords and description. What about the rest of them?
Hey Guys, Is this code still useful? I mean, will spiders come to crawl your pages after 10 days? Well, I don't think so.
Meta Keyword is no more important !! All big search engines including Yahoo, Google, Live .. etc ignores this tag !!
