hi everyone i was wondering if anyon knows if it is ok to make a forwarding page using cj links? i have heard conflicting info on this subject i want to make a page like mywebsite.com/advertiser.html and make the advertiser.html a 0 second meta refresh that forwards to a cj advertiser i want to do this so i can place conversion codes to track the traffic quality i am getting from various sources and also to cloak the affiliate link, does anyone know if cj will properly monitor my links and set the cookies properly? thanks for your help.
I believe in your case that it is allowed. As long as the referrer still shows your website. Meaning users have to visit your website and actually CLICK the link that takes them to www.yourwebsite/affiliateoffer.html. Also make sure you let both CJ and the merchant you are promoting know about this before you do it. I have heard of many instances where people will do that and still get paid, but the merchant doesn't trust the publisher after that and drops them.
Here's a wordpress plugin that does what you need: http://www.webmaster-source.com/gocodes-redirection-plugin-wordpress/
PHP redirect works best for me. Merchants have no problem with it. I even heard that tinyurl is acceptable to most merchants. The most important thing is that your visitor lands on the merchant's site.
