Over the last few months i have been reading about latent semantic indexing, which is basically adding extra keywords to your site which are relevant to your search terms, example if you search for SEO you will get related searches like seo internet marketing, seo tips, seo tools etc etc and they also have related search terms so the list is endless. My question is how many keywords should you put in your meta tags, and on your pages posts etc without keyword stuffing? Has anyone had any good results in SEO using LSI ?? Thank you for reading my post
Put your keywords so they are around 4-7% of your sites content. Your meta tag keywords should be similar i.e Free Microsoft Points, Free 1600 Microsoft points, Free 4000 Microsoft points
Meta keywords have no value.. You can use related keyword in your content, title, Images alt text.. that will help in LSI.
you can put 15-20 keyword page but i seen lots of person adding all keyword in home page..in my point of view per page maximum 15-20 keyword is better.
Though meta keywords tags are not a major factor search engines consider when ranking sites, they should not be left off the page. Both the meta keywords tag and the meta description tag contribute to your search engine ranking. A meta keywords tag is supposed to be a brief and concise list of the most important themes of your page. The meta keywords tag takes the following form: <meta name="keywords" content="keywords, keyword, keyword phrase, etc."> When you write a meta keywords list, start by scanning the copy on your page. Make a list of the most important terms you see on the page. Then read through the list. Pick the 10 or 15 terms that most accurately describe the content of the page. If you can't narrow your keyword list down to 10-15 keywords, then the content on your page may be rambling to far. Because of the hyper-competitiveness of the current search engine placement landscape, pages need to be very focused on one or two specific keyword phrases in order to have a chance to get a top ten placement. For example, a page about northern Michigan apples and central Florida oranges doesn't have much of a chance to win for either "northern Michigan apples" or "central Florida oranges." To have any chance to win, you need to have one page about northern Michigan apples and one page about central Florida oranges.
The only SE which I know still looks at the keywords tag is Yahoo, so really this tag can be pretty much ignored these days, I still chuck a few in, just for yahoo, but that equates to a tiny fraction of my traffic anyway. I just add the 2 keywords (or phrases) wghich the page is for and then a few other words which feature on the page, I wouldn't spend any time on it myself. I use Google wonder wheel, to make sure I have plenty of related terms on the page, and re keyword density, I go for 4-5% as a general rule, but sometimes it goes well over, particularly on product pages.
I here that header tags help also, example if your Title is SEO then you should use SEO in H1 H2 H3 also as well as in title
