No ... Google is not accepting any more.. You can search a result and can verify. They are giving priority to title and description only but only if you are writing original content.

No, Google does not consider meta keyword tag. Make a unique Title & Description tag for every page.

According to Google, the meta keywords tag are ignored, however other search engines still consider the meta keywords tag, so it will be more beneficial to use the meta keywords tag rather than not using it.

The meta keyword is no longer required but it is very helpful when you are doing large sites. It becomes online documentation.

Google don't use Meta keywords in ranking.

But, heavily spamming your meta keywords will have potential to get penalty as well.

My best advice is to ignore meta keywords if you are targeting Google traffic.

Ya it's true that Google not consider Meta keyword tag, only it give importance to title and description. But keyword tag increases your keyword density.

Google doesn't provide much importance to meta keyword tag. So, if you don't use meta keywords Google can itself take keywords from your website content

I do not agree with all the statements above, most of the webmasters are defining in a same way that meta keywords has no importance but when i see the source code of the sites given in their signatures then find that all have putted meta keywords in them and most of them using too much keywords in meta tags..LOL!!
IMO their may be any official announcements from SE's but personally i have seen that most of SE's giving importance to meta keywords and used them to finding that what information or which keyword related information web site contains.

That's right, Google stopped trusting meta keyword tags looong ago because webmasters abused them way too often. It was officially stated by Google reps that the most authoritative SE so far no longer gives value to keywords tag. However other SE still consider it for rankings which is one of the reasons for keeping it. Another reason is a constantly changing Google algorithm. If you keep your meta keywords tags - you will be fine and ready when one fine day Google announces that keyword tags count again LOL.

Google Bot will read only title tag and meta Desc.
Yahoo and bing spider will read meta keywords, desc and title tag
