meta keyword/description question regarding wordpress + rep to whoever helps me

Here's an example of what's going on with my site (since I don't really want to share my url/keywords)

Right now, the posts are taking the tags and making them the meta keywords and then taking the post itself and making it the meta description.

    Example:
Let's say my site is about cameras with a keyword of "new cameras" and in my meta description it says "This site is the place to be to find out about cameras" and the meta keywords would be "new camera, something new cameras, new camera"

On this site I would have a post titled "How to Find the Right Camera for You" and the post would be:
"There are many things to consider when buying a new camera. Blah, blah, blah; yadda yadda yadda."
I then tag this post with "finding a camera, nikon cameras, vacation cameras, saving money, megapixels, resolution"

Right now what's happening is that for my post, the meta keywords are "finding a camera, nikon cameras, vacation cameras, saving money, megapixels, resolution" and my meta description is "There are many things to consider when buying a new camera. Blah, blah, blah; yadda yadda yadda."

    Now what should I do?
Should I make it so that the meta description is the same as my site "This site is the place to be to find out about cameras" or should it be something like "This post is about finding the perfect camera"?
Should I make the meta keywords the same as the site with "new camera, something new cameras, new camera" or should I make them related to the post with something like "picking out a camera, the perfect camera"

I'm pretty sure the way it is now with the tags as keywords and the actual post itself as the description is hurting the site or just not helping it.

All those "blah" and "yadda" make it REALLY difficult to follow your question.

Please be more specific and I'm sure we can give you some decent answers.

In my option it would be best to use keyword phrases from your <title> and/or keyword meta tags for your URL's, not keywords from the content.

If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to post them.

What I'm wondering about are the meta tags for the posts, the meta description and the meta keywords. The urls are based off the post title right now. Any opinions?

Actually, I already have that. I'm just trying to figure out what to put in the the All-in-one Seo pack fields when filling out the description and keyword section for each post.
