Meta "generator"

    I ranked on google for my main keyword but the snipet on the SERP page is from the meta tag generator used for SEO. So it says;

    SEO Service - <--(page title)
    Joomla! - Copyright (C) 2005 - 2006 Open Source Matters. All rights reserved. JoomSEF SEO by Artio
    www.url.com

    google is using the meta generator tag for site info?

    Uuuh... check the Title and meta data for the pages...

    Joomla has some good SEO Patches available to auto-generate the Title's and Meta Data... you should do so....

    i am using joomSEF for SEO metas, it is outputting title, description and a generator tag. google is using the generator tag for the snippet instead of the description meta

    Occasionally Google tweaks out worse than someone on meth, this might be one of those cases (will include html code in the snippets sometimes, wrong titles). Been seeing quite a few bugs and a preponderance of spammy sites that G should easily be filtering out.

    Almost looks like a nervous breakdown.
