Hey guys. I've reasearched putting Meta Tags in Wordpress pretty heavily today and everything points to the obvious "All in one SEO Pack" plugin. The problem here is that as far as I can see, this only works with those who run their own domains via the wordpress client. I was trying to find a way to insert meta tags into a regular old "yourdomain.wordpress.com" blog. Am I correct in assuming this cannot be done without running your own domain via the wordpress client?
You are correct. The .com site is to restrictive, you have to be careful about linking as well (no Adsense or affiliate links). You can link to another site like squidoo or blogger, but putting your content on a domain you don't own is risky.
Thanks for the comments guys. I knew it had to be that way. Anyways, I took that idea to blogspot for their ease of use regarding meta tags, ad-sense, etc.
No plugins, I wasn't using wordpress as a webpublishing client, I simply had a "plain-jane" blog attached to their website.
