    Hi,

I am taking care of the website couponeasy.com
The problem is : That that meta description which I have written is

<meta name="description" content="Vast collection of free printable local coupons: Printable food, restaurant, car wash, bar, liquor shop, etc. coupons & various discount coupons at CouponEasy.com. Our selection of Printable Discount Coupons is always changing & increasing. Get discount at every shopping by using discount coupons from CouponEasy.">

While the one that appears when I search for "Couponeasy" in google is

Our selection of Printable Discount Coupons is always changing & increasing. Get discount at every shopping by using discount coupons from CouponEasy.

You might notice that it is the latter half of the description that I have set on the website.
And this is happening for a few more domains that I manage as well.
    Any Suggestions?

Sometimes Google pulls metas based on the query. Don't over think this one, it's out of your hands unfortunately.

    Hi Ryan,

I tired many queries but it always pulls the latter part. Never the former and this is happening for my other sites as well. Is there any particular reason for this "latter picking" behavior?

here's a really good post on it from moz:https://moz.com/blog/why-wont-google-use-my-meta-description

It's important for people to remember, as you pointed out, that Google will use your search query to populate the description with what it thinks is relevant. So different search queries will pull different descriptions into Google results for the same URL. So what you see isn't what every searcher sees for every query.

IF you recently changed meta in description. It may be a cache issue. I would recommend to wait. If you are using any CDN service. Just purge the cache.

You must be using a plugin or module that generate a meta description according to search query.

A new meta description is not being generated at all. The problem is that only latter half of meta description is cropping up in SERP.
Initially I thought it was due to the length of the tag but in that case the priority should be given to former part, not latter.
so I must conclude that google thinks that latter part of the tag is best for my website. A lot of blogs confirm what Ryan answered. But still I am open for other suggestions.

Meta Description that you have written is more then 160. Google allows only in between 150 to 160 characters only
