Meta Description On WordPress

Guys, I'm really finding it difficult on how to create a meta description for my WP site. Really need some helps here.

 

I use the All In One SEO plugin. This allows you to set the META description for your home page and any blog posts or pages you create as well. Been using it for years and always does the trick for me.

 

Create your meta according to your keyword that you are targeting keyword to home page and internal pages.

 

You'll have to create meta description manually for your WordPress Website Pages. Every web page must have a unique and individual Meta Description, and meta description will be within 150 to 155 characters. Meta description must deal with the main idea of the article shortly.

Your targeted keyword must be in the meta description, and it's better to be in the beginning of the description. If you've installed Yoast SEO plug-in on your WordPress site, then go to your web page and scroll down. You'll find 'Edit snippet' and click it. Afterwards, put your meta description, and if it shows green signal, then it's OK. Finally update your changes. Okay, that's all.

 

Meta description is a brief description of what your page or post is about. Meta keywords and description are actually HTML meta tags, and they go into your website's header. WordPress SEO plugins make it super easy for you to add them from your WordPress admin area for each post and page on your website.

 

Let us look into the future for a second. Imagine your website is ranking in Google and you see it, displaying a title ( top line) and usually two lines of description below that. Does those three lines explain the content of the page well? Is it enticing enough for you to click on your website? If yes, then that is the right title and meta description.
If you are doing SEO yourself, then before writing meta titles or description, create a URL mapping and think which keyword you are going to target on which page and then try to use the most important keywords in meta title and description but don't make it spammy.
You can use Yoast to put meta description in your Wp website. It will not wrote meta title or descriptions for you

And you can use WordPress plugins like Yoast SEO to write interesting meta titles and descriptions according to your keywords.

 

You should make a meta description of around 155 to 160 characters and use keywords on that. Also, you need to install the All In One SEO plugin, where you will be able to easily update your complete meta tags on that.

Meta description is only written for web pages and posts. Write a short description (at least 140 - 160 characters) about your post or page. It must be unique and eye catchy. For writing this, you can use some WordPress plugins, like Yoast SEO, Rank Math, etc.

 

To begin, go to your WordPress admin and search for Appearance » Global Settings. Then scroll down to the section under "Home Page." You may quickly create a meta description and keywords on this screen, just as you would for a post or page. By default, All in One SEO will utilize your tagline as your meta description.
