Guys, I'm really finding it difficult on how to create a meta description for my WP site. Really need some helps here.
The description is for the page and not for the site - and therefore needs to be different on every page. Check with your theme designer to find out where they're getting the info from. It might be custom fields...
I use the All In One SEO plugin. This allows you to set the META description for your home page and any blog posts or pages you create as well. Been using it for years and always does the trick for me.
Create your meta according to your keyword that you are targeting keyword to home page and internal pages.
You'll have to create meta description manually for your WordPress Website Pages. Meta titles and meta descriptions are much more important when it comes to SEO-friendly posting. And you can use WordPress plugins like Yoast SEO to write interesting meta titles and descriptions according to your keywords.
You should make a meta description of around 155 to 160 characters and use keywords on that. Also, you need to install the All In One SEO plugin, where you will be able to easily update your complete meta tags on that.
Meta description is only written for web pages and posts. Write a short description (at least 140 - 160 characters) about your post or page. It must be unique and eye catchy. For writing this, you can use some WordPress plugins, like Yoast SEO, Rank Math, etc.

You may quickly create a meta description and keywords on this screen, just as you would for a post or page. By default, All in One SEO will utilize your tagline as your meta description.
