Meta Description Not Showing In Google

    Did you just put meta description in it? The cached page in Google on January 12, 20111 has no meta description so Google just scrape a part of your contextual as description. You have to wait until the new page got cached in Google then the meta description would appear.

    Hi thanks for the info. I placed the meta description around 3 days ago. How long does Google usually caches a new page?

    72-96 hours, normally. You should be good within about a day if you done it three days ago.

    Your site was last cached by Google on Jan 12. That's why. It didn't cache the new version, so you are going to have to wait until the Google Bot gets to your updated version.
